History of Maxi Private Limited
Mr Tan Gare Kun started out as a contractor at Jurong shipyard in 1966. Seeing the value of having a hardware store to work directly with the shipyards, he founded Maxi Private Limited in 1970 with several other shareholders.
The company is currently headed by Patrick and Steven, the younger sons of the late Mr Tan, providing basic household hardware for walk-in customers and blasting equipment to shipyards when necessary.

We are also the sole distributor for IVG blasting equipment, providing low and medium pressure rubber hose on rigid mandrel at a competitive rate.
